Magnolia ISD board adopts 2025–26 school calendar

The Magnolia ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2025–26 school year calendar on Feb. 10, 2025. The motion (No. 6084) was made by Trustee David McCarty and seconded by Trustee Jordan Blake, and it passed unanimously.
Key calendar dates approved include a first day of school on August 11; Fall Break Oct. 13–17; Thanksgiving break Nov. 24–28; Christmas break Dec. 22–Jan. 2; Spring Break March 9–13; and a last day of school on May 22. The calendar was presented as part of the Considered Agenda and adopted following board discussion.
Board action sets the instructional and payroll schedules tied to the district’s academic year and allows campuses and families to make plans for staffing, enrollment, and events. The business office and human-resources staff will proceed to implement operational details tied to payroll and employee contracts under the approved calendar.
