The City of Lytle council voted Jan. 12 to grant a variance permitting a 24-square-foot wall sign at 19429 N. Somerset St., where the standard allowance in the B-1 neighborhood business district is 12 square feet.
Mayor Ruben Gonzalez opened and closed a public hearing on the application with no public comments recorded. Alderman Michael Rodriguez moved to approve the variance and Alderman David Emery seconded; the motion carried 4-0.
The minutes do not record conditions attached to the variance or the applicant's business name. The approval stands as a site-specific exception to Section 46-276, Use Regulations, Division 5, B-1 Neighborhood Business District, Article V of Chapter 46 (Zoning).
