Superintendent Dr. Miller presented a slate of personnel recommendations at the Aug. 10 meeting and introduced several incoming staff members.
Dr. Miller recommended a 220‑day assistant principal assigned to Philadelphia Middle School, identifying Mrs. LeFlame as the recommended candidate. Mrs. LeFlame addressed the board: "I'm honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve as the next assistant principal at Philadelphia Middle School," she said.
Other recommended hires included Samantha Gaines as a 200‑day preschool teacher assigned to Ritchie Elementary, Isaac Neff as a countywide band director/instrumental general music teacher, and two 200‑day bus drivers, John Ailey and William Davis. Board members thanked new hires and welcomed them to the district during the meeting.
The personnel recommendations were presented for board approval and were included with other routine items approved by the board.
