County to accept Fort Richey wellhouses, waterlines, and easements from U.S. Army Corps

Todd Moser, real property administrator, recommended the county accept transfer of four Fort Richey wellhouses, water lines and associated easements from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to expand county water sources as Fort Richey redevelops. "The army has finalized full work and documents to transfer the Fort Richey well houses and water line that were not originally transferred... when the base originally closed," Moser said.
Dave Mason, interim director of environmental management, said the county is approximately two to three weeks from final Army sign-off but staff asked to proceed with county steps to accept the transfer; the board approved the transfer by voice vote.
