County approves tennis-court resurfacing and accepts Little League grants for facilities on county property

Procurement recommended an intergovernmental cooperative purchase to resurface five tennis courts throughout Washington County for $364,728.85 using a cooperative contract with Keystone Sports Construction. Brandy Kenton said funds are budgeted in the capital improvement program and presented the NOVA Acrylic Color Coating system for the renovations; commissioners voted to approve the purchase.
Separately, Todd Moses and Andrew Ashland presented two state grant agreements totaling $100,000 for Federal Little League improvements on county property and asked the county be added as a beneficiary because the Little League facilities are on county land. Moses said the grants will be used to build ADA-compliant restrooms, upgrade storage, and repair facilities; the board unanimously approved adding the county as beneficiary.
