McCamey ISD approves multiple resignations, hires and names Kalum McKay interim superintendent

Following personnel approvals, the board approved employment recommendations for Amye Templeton‑Griffin (10.5‑month probationary dual assignment certified teacher/coach), Luis Dominguez (10.5‑month probationary dual assignment certified teacher/coach), and Kyle Hartman (10‑month non‑certified welding teacher contract). Trustees approved a multiyear administrator contract for John Slaton (11 months per year) for 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 with a salary of $95,000. By motion of Marquez and second of Butler the board appointed Assistant Superintendent Kalum McKay as Interim Superintendent effective May 27, 2025.
