Paxton Council OKs $24,690 in-camera and body-camera systems for police

The motion to approve the purchase passed on a roll call vote with Aldermen Geiken, Greenburg, Larson, Pacey, Reinhart and Wilson voting aye. The purchase will add two full car camera systems and multiple body cameras to bring Paxton to consistent in-car and body-camera coverage, Chief Cornett said. City officials did not identify ongoing subscription or data‑storage costs during the discussion; council members approved the resolution based on the equipment and labor line items presented at the meeting.
