Martinsville ISD board authorizes superintendent to negotiate with McKinley-Golden for facilities design work

The Martinsville ISD Board of Trustees voted April 21 to authorize the superintendent to negotiate a contract with McKinley-Golden Associates for professional engineering and architectural services related to district facility expansion and renovation. The motion was made by BJ Gross and seconded by Matt Warr and passed in open session.
The board heard competing presentations from Goodwin Lasiter Strong and Associates and McKinley-Golden Associates, each responding to the district solicitation published March 16, 2025 in The Nacogdoches Daily Sentinel. The authorization directs the superintendent to begin negotiations with McKinley-Golden; no dollar amount, contract length, or final award was reported at the meeting.
