Marshall ISD honors two employees for "above and beyond" service

The Marshall Independent School District Board of Trustees used part of its April 14 meeting to recognize two employees for outstanding service.
Superintendent Dr. Richele Langley introduced a DAEP employee identified in the minutes as Bianca Owens. Campus Director Robert Knox delivered a tribute that included a direct description of the employee’s approach: "Bianca Williams is the energizer bunny of the campus as well as the accountability queen." Knox described the employee’s range of duties — counseling students, delivering lunches, assisting with parent orientation — and praised her initiative and devotion to students.
Dr. Langley also recognized Bethany Venable as the MEGS Above & Beyond award recipient. MEGS Principal Jerry Hancock described Venable as someone who "takes the time to build meaningful relationships with students that allow her to push students to reach their potential," and said students repeatedly reported that "Mrs. V understands me and she really cares about me." The board did not take any formal action tied to the recognitions.
Note on transcript inconsistency: the meeting minutes introduce the DAEP employee as "Bianca Owens" but Robert Knox’s quoted remarks use the name "Bianca Williams." That naming discrepancy appears in the official minutes and is noted here rather than resolved by outside inference.
