Mesquite ISD honors staff, students and local nonprofit Seasons of Change

The board recognized teachers inducted into Apple Corps, honored a Star Para, and named Seasons of Change as Community Partner of the Month for diaper/wipes distributions and holiday gift support for families with young children.
During opening and student/staff recognition segments, Mesquite ISD presented awards and acknowledgements to staff, students and a community partner.
Teachers Mayra Pratz (Poteet High School) and Haley Thompson (Price Elementary) were inducted into the district’s Apple Corps. Liane Randle, a Pre-K aide at Kimball Elementary School, was named the district’s "Star Para." The board recognized Seasons of Change as Community Partner of the Month and thanked the City of Mesquite for support; the nonprofit provides monthly diaper and wipes distribution and hosted a Christmas gift program for families with children 36 months and under.
Students from Shands Elementary led both pledges, and the Mesquite High School Pizzazz Choir, under the direction of Jennifer Resendez, performed a medley of Christmas carols.
