Garcia IV to contact them regarding their selection. Trustee Nancy Vallejo moved the action and Trustee Orlando Rodriguez seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
"Mrs. Vallejo made a motion to approve the interviews for the 6 candidates for Superintendent as discussed in executive session and to authorize the Board President to contact them regarding their selection," the meeting minutes record. The board had met in executive session earlier in the evening and reconvened in open session before taking the vote. The special meeting convened at 5:01 p.m. and the minutes show the board returned to open session at 7:23 p.m.
