Chair (Speaker 1) opened the meeting and asked members to begin with Lauren's draft application and related documents.
Committee member (Speaker 2) said the board's lawyer advised a move to a more streamlined checklist, pointing to the zoning board's checklist as an example of a simpler format. "He sent me the zoning board. I think you were also on the email. The zoning board checklist that they have, which is extremely streamlined," Speaker 2 said. Members noted the village website currently lists old fees and meeting schedules and agreed the visible online pages should be updated to prevent confusion.
Board members discussed whether the application process description should remain in the formal standards or exist as a standalone guidance sheet. Several members favored a short, two- or three-page "how to" sheet with embedded links to the code and research resources so applicants can quickly find requirements. The board asked everyone to submit comments on Lauren's three draft documents to her by the end of next week; the Chair said incorporation of edits will be Lauren's discretion.
