Albany County Legislature passes slate of routine resolutions, approves supplemental $10,000,000 bond authorization

During its Aug. 10 meeting the Albany County Legislature approved a package of resolutions covering grant acceptances, intergovernmental agreements, budget adjustments and appointments.
Key items adopted included procedural reporting of Local Law F's public hearing (Resolution 241), a public hearing on Local Law G (Resolution 274), acceptance of New York State consolidated highway improvement program funds, supplemental agreements with the New York State Department of Transportation for the 2025–2026 winter road maintenance season, agreements for the 2026 summer youth employment program and amendments to department budgets for public health and probation grant programs.
The body introduced and then approved a supplemental bond resolution stating an estimated additional $10,000,000 as part of a bond authorization package; a subsequent long roll call recorded a unanimous vote in favor. The Legislature also approved an amendment to Resolution 303 (county insurance) correcting premium numbers to $2,826,783 and a cyber liability amount of $83,000 after a motion by Ms. Gillespie and a second by Mr. Feeney.
Other measures included conveyances of county property, updates to agricultural district boundaries, and an appointment to the Albany County Soil and Water Conservation District board. The meeting closed following a motion to adjourn.
