During routine business the Naples City Council on March 16 approved a comprehensive update to bank signature cards. The motion, made by Council member Carrie Kirkland and seconded by Tim Thornburg, removed multiple former signatories from deposit and CD accounts and added the mayor, city secretary and designated council members as current signatories.
The minutes list the names to be removed and added for deposit accounts, CD accounts, and the safe deposit box. The council recorded the motion as carried "all in favor." City staff are responsible for delivering updated signature cards to the bank and for confirming the bank's acceptance of the changes.
