Muenster ISD board adopts 2025–26 handbooks and district policies

The Muenster ISD Board of Education voted unanimously at its Aug. 13 meeting to approve a set of handbooks and local policies for the 2025–26 school year. Approved items recorded in the meeting minutes include the Emergency Operating Procedures Handbook, the Student Handbook and Code of Conduct, a cell-phone policy (FNCE LOCAL) amended for compliance with HB 1481, and Proposed Policy EFB (LOCAL) regarding reading materials in district libraries. The motions on these items were recorded as carried 7–0.
Trustees also adopted the T-TESS calendar and named appraisers for evaluations with an amendment adding Superintendent Matthew Quick as an appraiser. The meeting record shows the board approved a set of governance items and board goals for 2025–26 during the same portion of the agenda; those motions likewise carried unanimously. The approvals were handled as discrete motions reflected in the official vote record.
