Midlothian ISD recognizes students, teams and staff for 2024–25 achievements

At the May 13 board meeting Midlothian ISD recognized valedictorians, salutatorians, DECA qualifiers, athletics and arts teams, Employees of the Year, and other student and staff achievements for the 2024–25 school year.
Trustees and district leaders recognized a wide set of student and staff accomplishments across athletics, arts and academics during the May 13 meeting. The board read names of valedictorians and salutatorians from Heritage High School and Midlothian High School and honored students who qualified for state and national competitions.
Notable recognitions included DECA qualifiers Jaxon Salzman and London Coffman, MHS Varsity Winter Guard winning the Scholastic AA state championship, theatre nominations for both high schools through Broadway Dallas, multiple athletic teams advancing to regional and state rounds, and the district’s Employees of the Year across departments. The minutes also noted Brielle Yanez will represent Congressman Jake Ellzey in the District 6 Congressional Art Competition in Washington, D.C.
The board’s recognitions highlighted student performance and staff contributions throughout the academic year; no board action was required for these items.
