Aaron Williams and Shelle Blaylock presented a review of Texas Education Agency-recommended guidelines related to Local Policy CQC (technology use and integration). The presenters said they studied TEA guidance alongside district goals and solicited feedback from parents, students, teachers and administrators.
Staff concluded the TEA guidelines align with the balance of technology integration MISD seeks to implement beginning in the 2025–26 school year. The item was listed as information and will return to the board as an action item in June for formal adoption or modification.
No formal vote occurred at the May meeting; the board heard the staff review and requested that the item be brought back for action next month.
