City staff told the Commission the 'EPIC' grant is a new county program and that the city applied for funding through the police chief and was notified of an award; staff said the chief will present legislation on the camera program at a future meeting. "We applied for it, through the, police chief. We are we were notified recently that we were awarded the funding," a staff member said, noting more details and legislation will follow.
Commissioners approved acceptance of the $100,000 and thanked staff; staff indicated further conversation and formal legislation on camera deployment would return to the Commission when ready.
