The Mount Vernon ISD Board of Trustees approved several policy items needed for the 2025–26 school year at its Aug. 12 meeting. Trustees approved the Student Code of Conduct, the 2025–26 T-TESS appraisal calendar and a district Personal Communication Device policy. The board also approved Policy Update EFB LOCAL concerning library materials.
Each policy item was approved by recorded motion; the minutes identify the maker and seconder for each motion and record 6–0 passage. These policy approvals were presented as part of routine governance and administrative preparation for the school year.
