Interim Superintendent Dr. Cris Valdez recommended excluding the Ralph Cantu Jr. High $2.1 million allocation from the amendment pending additional facility data; trustees approved the amendment with one abstention.
Financial advisor representatives and administration presented a plan of finance for maintenance tax notes to provide near-term capital resources for projects. Mr. Villarreal (Estrada Hinojosa) explained that, if authorized, the district can issue tax notes following a standard calendar and draw funds when the Board directs; trustees approved the plan and a reimbursement-expectation resolution authorizing future use of debt proceeds.
