The Nassau Bay City Council recessed into executive session at 8:28 p.m. Feb. 9 under the authority of the Texas Government Code to discuss economic development negotiations (Section 551.087); personnel matters concerning the appointment/reappointment and annual review of the City Manager (Section 551.074); and to consult with the City Attorney regarding pending or contemplated litigation related to Microtel (Section 551.071).
The Council closed the executive session at 9:29 p.m., returned to open session and recorded that no action was taken on the matters discussed in closed session. Councilmember Haley Uhl left the meeting at 9:29 p.m., and the meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
Executive sessions are permitted under state law for these topics; any formal action would be announced in open session and recorded in the minutes. The Feb. 9 meeting record shows no open-session action following the closed deliberations.
