Band, FFA and athletics reports: performances, livestock events and schedule updates

District activity leaders provided updates on extracurricular programs at the Sept. 22 meeting. The band director said the band will perform in Abilene on Oct. 4 and attend the Brossette UIL event in Stephenville on Oct. 18; the director reported 46 students participate and noted bus issues affecting student transportation.
The Ag Science presenter said 23 freshmen are attending camp, 51 swine tags have been ordered, and the Knowles Jackpot is scheduled for Dec. 13; a public Munday FFA page has been set up and the greenhouse watering system will be worked on in the next week or two. The coach reported four volleyball games the following day and that district football play begins Friday at home with a Langston JH/JV game.
