The City of Auburn will host Party in the Plaza Friday, Aug. 28, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at City Hall Plaza (25 West Main Street). The free community event will include live music, food trucks and a beer and wine garden; organizers said they will close a portion of Main Street and expect available parking in nearby garages and lots.
Jonathan Glover, Auburn’s communications manager, and Mackenzie Wallen also previewed Hops & Crops, a ticketed tasting festival set for Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Marielson Farm (28728 Green River Road). Glover said preregistration before Sept. 7 costs $25 and includes a sampling cup and a limited number of tastings; on-site registration is more expensive. The event will feature breweries, cider houses, food and music.
