Nacogdoches ISD reports donations for NJROTC, teacher support and law enforcement equipment

At its April 14 agenda-review meeting, NACOGDOCHES ISD officials presented multiple gifts — including several to NJROTC, food support for staff, and law-enforcement equipment — and reviewed investment and check-register items for the district.
CFO Ben Eberlan presented multiple gifts to the district during the Business Office reports portion of the agenda review. Donations under $2,500 included $1,400 from American Legion Post 86 for NJROTC Dive School sponsorship; $350 from Christ the Savior Orthodox Church for the NJROTC Food Pantry project; $828.21 from the Nacogdoches Dragon Athletic Booster Club for teacher and coach food; $100 from TCC, INC. District III for NJROTC; and $1,000 from Michael Moses for campus needs.
Eberlan also reported in-kind donations for Law Enforcement Appreciation — a gun safe and in-car dash cameras from CBTx — and presented two donations over $2,500: $3,000 from First United Methodist Church to purchase books for a book-vending machine and $2,500 from Nacogdoches Kiwanis Club to NHS Key Club. The board reviewed an investment report and discussed the district check register; no formal actions were taken in the discussion-only session.
