The board opened the April 14 meeting with recognitions for students and staff. Daniela Corray (Bear Branch Junior High) and Hannah Brock (Williams Elementary) were noted for Student of the Month recognitions at their campuses, and Dr. Brandon Garza and Assistant Principal Cristal Bostain presented Dalila Alvizures as Williams Elementary's April Teacher of the Month.
Director of CTE Dr. Foy Campbell and Ag Mechanics teacher Solomon Butler recognized Magnolia High School students who won top honors at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for a six‑month project — a spec-built, 3,000-pound BBQ sled/grill — that earned Grand Champion Best of Show, Grand Champion Project Presentation, Reserve Champion Project Execution, and Reserve Champion Built to Specification. Community partners provided gifts and refreshments to honor honorees.
