The Magnolia ISD Board of Trustees on March 17 voted unanimously to cast the district's 280 votes for Bruce Tough for the Montgomery Central Appraisal District Board of Directors.
Trustee Stacia Norris moved and Trustee Dacia Owens seconded the motion that "Magnolia ISD cast its 280 votes for the Montgomery Central Appraisal District Board of Directors for Mr. Bruce Tough." The motion carried unanimously, and the board adopted a resolution authorizing the presiding officer to deliver or cause to be delivered a certified copy of the resolution to the MCAD chief appraiser by the March 21 deadline.
The election materials in the board packet included an official ballot and an order of cancellation template related to the district's uncontested trustee election. The district's resolution states that the three candidates receiving the highest totals serve three-year terms and the fourth and fifth highest vote-getters serve one-year terms, per MCAD procedures.
