"Is there any plans to make this electronic in the future realizing there aren't very many options, or is it already electronic?" the committee member asked.
Ashley Burts answered that discharge lists will likely come from Atrium and that CureMD — the county's EMR — does not currently interface with Atrium's Epic system. "Our EMR doesn't interface with Epic at Atrium, but we would look at Atrium's list and then transpose it under the CureMD electronic list," Burts said, adding counties have long awaited broader interoperability and the county continues to work toward improved data flows.
The board noted the discharge‑medication reconciliation item is being entered in the fee schedule with a $0 fee for tracking while the county confirms coding and potential future workflow changes.
