Council approves contract edits for incoming city manager candidate

Councilor Lyon moved a set of specific edits, including replacing an automatic six-month 3% raise with the language “be considered for a raise,” moving sick-leave cash-out language to the retirement section, and adding the vehicle stipend. Councilor Destiny Jensen seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Steadman said she would forward the council’s recommended amendments to the city attorney and to Ms. Schneider for any response; the council discussed scheduling a special meeting to finalize the contract after attorney review.
