The Board received a detailed construction update on the new Navarro ISD high school, with AG/CM Assistant Project Manager Melisa Nu'u reporting that exterior EIFS work at the main entry and west side is nearing completion and that masonry will resume as footings are finalized. Inside classroom wings, restrooms were reported nearly finished and installation of markerboards and millwork is underway.
Nu'u said the auditorium scaffolding is down and crews are installing ductwork and sheetrock on high walls, and that above-ceiling work continues in CTE and athletic support spaces. Site work was also progressing: "site concrete is nearing completion," and new main entrance concrete and light poles were in place. The Board discussed sequencing of work tied to upcoming occupancy plans and the district's plan for a campus refresh when the current high school becomes vacant.
