Commissioners opt for construction manager-at-risk delivery for courthouse projects

"I move that we use the CMC as a method of operation," a commissioner said during the meeting; the motion passed. Commissioners asked staff to form a small RFP/selection committee (recommended to include one or two commissioners, an appointed council representative and the owner's representative) and directed Elevatus to prepare materials for the RFP. Staff emphasized the statutory and transparency steps required for the CMAR selection process, including a public RFP, a selection committee and a written recommendation to the commission.
