Duncan Olson presented a contract with the Utah Cutting Horse Association for the UCHA Golden Spike Cutting Event and described a sponsorship arrangement that will include branded saddles and naming rights: "We will have some of their saddles will be branded with the Golden Spike logo as well as it being named the Golden Spike Cutting Show." Commissioners approved the contract by voice vote.
Olson also presented a contract with Skyler Nybar for the Mountain West pulling nationals (truck pulls), to be held on the infield/grandstand area. Commissioners discussed site concerns and whether the activity would damage the racetrack surface; Olson confirmed the truck pulls will be staged on the infield, not the racetrack, and commissioners approved the contract by voice vote.
