Mayor’s execution of $900,000 pedestrian‑safety design contract with Beta Group ratified

Mayor Roberto Alves executed an agreement on May 11, 2026 for design services up to $900,000, and the board was asked to ratify that action.
Volpe said the City Council had approved the grant request and the project requires a 20% City of Danbury match ($180,000). Mr. V. Karukonda moved to ratify the Mayor’s execution of the contract as authorized by the State DOT; Mr. D. Garrick seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
