President Timothy H. Owens told the board he will meet with the Park District on Friday to determine a date for the grand opening of Victory Park and to finalize logistics.
Board members discussed reservation procedures for the pavilion and the new pickleball court, possible additional parking options, and progress on installing water and electrical hookups for a fountain. Engineer Adam Bunge reported that water and electrical hook-ups for the fountain are being established and that water-fountain exhibits will be presented at the next committee meeting. The board asked staff to return with a recommended reservation process and cost/fee details before the official opening.
