South Ogden police, working with Bonneville Community Care, will participate in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Macy's grocery store on 36th Street. "Just look for the canopy and the signs and drop off your medicines to us," Russ Porter said in the city update.
The city urged residents to go through medicine cabinets and bring expired or no-longer-needed medicines to the event to reduce the risk of diversion or accidental ingestion. The update did not indicate whether sharps or controlled substances have special disposal rules at this site; residents should consult the city's newsletter or police department for item restrictions.
