Fire Chief Bendix reported the department's fundraising for a Lucas-brand CPR machine began at the pancake breakfast in October and has raised $16,000 to date toward a $20,000 price. "At the end of this month, they had raised $16,000 and the machine cost is $20,000," Bendix said.
Council members asked how to donate; Garry said contributions should be made out to MSVF and can be mailed or dropped off at the fire station at 911 El Portal in the gray mailbox. Chief Bendix thanked the community for supporting the pancake breakfast and the fundraising effort to purchase the device.
