County engineer wins approval for beaver-dam work, local 25-mph posting and FY27 DOT budget changes

The board approved the speed-limit posting after noting enforcement would be handled by the sheriff's office once signs are posted.
Ward also explained an amended FY27 Iowa DOT budget to account for carryover construction from FY26 and requested the board increase construction expenditure authority to $4,300,000; the board approved that amendment. Finally, the board approved a permit for Iowa Lakes Regional Water to construct utilities in the county highway right of way (a 500-foot run in Superior Township within DD51), with staff noting the work would not interfere with open ditches or tile.
