Kevin Burns, chair of the county RAMP program, presented the RAMP 'EZ grants' package and said the small, $3,500 awards are intended to kick-start projects and help applicants access larger funding later. "This is our easy grants. The $3,500 grants, that that go out to different entities. We have like 80," Burns said, and highlighted a few notable applications including a proposed RC car track in Pleasant View.
Commissioner Bolos moved to approve the RAMP recommendations as presented, the motion was seconded and commissioners voted in favor. Burns thanked staff and the board for the program and noted he is rolling off after six years of service; commissioners praised the volunteer board that screens applicants.
