Weber County updates on local transportation fund: 53 projects completed, 30 in process

Brooke Stewart, Weber County’s local transportation funds manager, presented an overview of the county’s Local Transportation Funds program, explaining how the revenue from a local-option sales tax has been used to support local planning and construction projects across municipalities. "Since Weber County voters approved the local option sales tax back in 2007, this program has delivered 53 fully completed projects with 30 more currently in process and another 19 programmed for future years," Stewart said.
Stewart emphasized the program's role in helping communities move projects forward, from early planning through construction, and said coordination with the Wasatch Front Regional Council and UDOT has helped deliver larger, more connected projects. She highlighted the OGX Bus Rapid Transit project as a notable example of regional impact from the program.
