NBISD begins strategic planning workshop with Education Elements facilitator

The New Braunfels Independent School District Board of Trustees and district leadership held a Strategic Planning Workshop on Aug. 21, 2024, facilitated by Corey Ryan of Education Elements.
Dr. Laurelyn Arterbury introduced Mr. Ryan, who "facilitated the Strategic Planning Kickoff," and led the group through collaborative discussions on topics the district listed as central to the planning process: New Braunfels strategic planning approach, responsive design and planning, embracing feedback, theory of action, roles and responsibilities, and committee design. The workshop also covered drafting a Strategic Design Committee Charter and clarifying the board's role for discussion at the next regular meeting.
Board members and the leadership team participated in discussions about how the district's strategic design should be structured and what the next steps will be for committee formation and chartering. The board expressed gratitude to Mr. Ryan for facilitating the session.
