Douglas County commissioners on Nov. 4 approved several plats affecting lakeshore and residential properties.
The board approved the Final Plat for Red Rock Island (parcel IDs 60-0338-000, 60-0338-100). It also approved the Preliminary Plat for Lake Darling Resort First Addition (5.55 acres) with two conditions: treating the resort properties as a single whole commercial resort for regulatory and permitting purposes, and including specified lots within the resort’s common elements; owner/subdivider is Justice Family Properties. The Sanders Way preliminary plat was approved with three conditions, including soils investigations and percolation testing for Type 1 septic systems prior to final plat approval, a grading and drainage plan for any construction disturbing 2,000 sq ft or more, and deed restrictions to notify future owners of drainage requirements. All motions carried with unanimous recorded votes.
