Street Superintendent Rick Reitz told the council crews are preparing the park and facilities for the season and presented a quote of $5,800 to clean, crack-seal and restripe the parking lot and the basketball court. "He had a quote for $5,800 to have all the parking lot and the basketball court cleaned and major cracks fixed with hot rubberized crack sealant and everything restriped," the minutes state. Mike Botelho moved to approve the expenditure and Tim McCarthy seconded; the council approved the motion unanimously.
Council also discussed ongoing park maintenance plans, gate locking for courts starting May 1, and the removal of net cranks due to repeated loss and damage. The work is scheduled to proceed under public works direction and will be coordinated with seasonal opening tasks.
