The Douglas County Board of Commissioners on Nov. 18 adopted two resolutions accepting donations to support sheriff’s office programs. Resolution 25‑92 accepted an anonymous donation of $200 for the Sheriff’s Office fitness room. The board then adopted Resolution 25‑93 accepting $10,000 from Bob and Katie Winter, allocating $5,000 to the Search and Rescue Dive Team and $5,000 to fitness-room equipment.
Both donations were approved by unanimous vote of the board (Yes — Kalina, Meyer, Rapp, Schmidt and Way). The resolutions and allocations were entered into the meeting record and signed by Chair Jerry L. Rapp and Clerk Lenae Roeser. The donations are designated for equipment and team support rather than general operations.
