Council grants several ABC license no-objections, votes unanimous

The council considered a set of alcohol license items and, after the city clerk reported that police, fire and the Alabama ABC had submitted no-objection letters, voted unanimously to grant the listed licenses. Businesses included Alfred's LLC (111 Broadway St.), Madeira Liquor Wine and Beer (229 Lakeshore Parkway) and Lovely Rita's LLC (1722 28th Avenue South), among others.
City Clerk Seegrest said, “They've done well with everything. They've passed all their inspections, and we got no objection letters from police and fire and ABC as well.” Council then voted by voice with no opposition on each item; the clerk recorded the approvals on the record.
