Robert from the Board of Elections walked attendees through the new campaign finance reporting templates, demonstrating how the Finances Overview tab aggregates contributions, expenditures, loans and disbursements and fills the print reports candidates must submit.
He advised candidates to use the shared spreadsheet or the PDF print workflow, check cash balances, correct bank posting-date mismatches, and file amended reports when necessary. "When I share this document with candidates, I fill in all the information... then you're just printing this page to the PDF and I'll kind of go through this, that process," Robert said, and confirmed candidates will email the PDFs to the city clerk for filing.
