South Ogden unveils revamped website with ADA tools and mobile-first design

Danielle, the staff lead on the city website, demonstrated a new South Ogden website on May 6 that reorganizes navigation for mobile users, surfaces meetings and bill-pay links, adds a passport section, and splits the calendar into event and meetings filters. She said the site has analytics to inform which links to prioritize and that the site includes an ADA accessibility widget to help visually or hearing-impaired users.
On accessibility she said the site is already compliant: "Our web our new website is, officially compliant." Danielle walked the council through examples where the old site buried relevant content and how the new layout brings frequently used functions to the top. Council members asked to add heritage-trail content and continue iterative updates; staff said the site remains a work in progress and requested feedback as they complete content and photos.
