Council approved Resolution 25-09 on May 6 to award a concrete replacement contract at Station 81. Public works staff said the project covers partial replacement (between about 8,000 and 10,000 square feet) of deteriorated concrete and repairs to storm drainage, with bids ranging from roughly $45,000 to $57,000.
Staff said the work will be coordinated with the fire department for access and sequencing — for example, completing front or rear areas first to ensure truck access — and noted crews aim to finish before delivery of a new truck. The council moved, seconded and approved the resolution to contract with Black Ridge Concrete based on the presented bids.
