DOF says idling violations and certain docketed matters will be excluded from ECB amnesty

DOF told the Finance Committee the amnesty program will exclude several categories of violations. Commissioner Richard Lee said, “Please note that idling violations will not be eligible for amnesty to ensure that we continue to hold bad actors accountable when they pollute our streets.”
DOF also said the program will not cover matters subject to criminal investigation, sheriff or marshal executions, violations converted to tax liens, or other circumstances that would make a judgment ineligible. Committee members asked whether participants must complete corrections before receiving financial relief; DOF said the issuing agency must certify that the correction occurred and that compliance is required before the discount is granted.
