Council appoints Britney Rocha to South Ogden Planning Commission

The South Ogden City Council approved the appointment of Britney Rocha to the Planning Commission during its May 6 meeting. Rocha introduced herself to the council and described years of community service and a commitment to serving South Ogden after spending much of her volunteering in neighboring Ogden.
"My name is Britney Rocha," she said, noting her civic engagement and desire to get to know the community better. Council members praised her background in local nonprofits and youth service organizations and the council moved, seconded and voted to confirm the appointment as part of the consent agenda with a minor correction to the April 15 minutes noted earlier.
Rocha will join the planning commission; council members said staff will provide orientation and that her resume and recommendations were strong reasons for the appointment.
