Board informed of SB 10 posters and upcoming policy on SB 11

During the Superintendent Report, Mrs. Biggerstaff told the Board that the district is preparing to comply with recently enacted Texas Senate Bill 10 by providing Ten Commandments posters for classrooms and that Senate Bill 11 guidance on dedicated time for prayer and scripture will be included in a policy update scheduled for first reading in November.
The minutes record: "The Texas Legislature enacted Senate Bill 10. Mrs. Biggerstaff and the ND Print Shop have posters ready for each campus’ classrooms." They also say that Attorney General Ken Paxton "encourages all Texas schools to implement dedicated time for prayer and reading of scripture" and that the board will consider policy update #126 for SB 11 at first reading in November.
