The Board approved Bartlett Cocke as Construction Manager at Risk for the Long Creek High School stadium project on a unanimous vote Sept. 9. The project—part of Proposition B in the 2024 Bond Program—covers a planned 7,000-seat competition stadium (with future expansion capacity to 9,000 seats), synthetic turf, an eight-lane track, press box, concessions, restrooms, locker rooms, storage, a practice field and associated MEP work.
Planning and Construction staff recommended Bartlett Cocke based on qualifications and experience; the recommended contract terms included a 2.49% construction management fee, a 2.75% general conditions fee and preconstruction services not to exceed $60,000. Trustee Morgan Renaud moved approval and Nancy York seconded; the Board delegated authority to the superintendent to negotiate and finalize the contract with legal approval.
